how to purl a stitch: in, around, through, off

• in - insert your needle in the front of the stitch, approaching from the right side

• around - bring the yarn around the tip of your needle, wrapping from back to front

• through - poke the tip of your righthand needle under the lefthand needle and through the little hole

• off - slide the newly formed stitch off the lefthand needle
